holiday decor guide

Hello Fiddle Leaf Friends! If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ll know I decked the halls a bit early this year! I’ve got so many more spaces of my home to show you (and a full Holiday Home Tour will be here on the blog soon!), but I’ve already gotten so many questions on several of my Christmas/Winter decor pieces this year.  I’ve also been doing my last minute (yes, November is LAST minute for my list loving/planner heart) holiday shopping, and have found some amazing gifts at fabulous prices! And hence, the…

“Tuesday Top 10”

…was born!  Each Tuesday for the next 3 weeks, I’ll be sharing my “Top 10” of the week for ya.

Week 1 is my Top 10 Christmas/Winter decor items! These are all items I personally own, or that are very similar to items I have but are old and no longer in stock!

10. Buffalo Check Pillows

These are certainly pillows you could have year round (I definitely do), but if you love buffalo check but not enough to keep it around all year long, these are perfect pillow covers that you can use to swap out for the season!  They come in a two pack and are super affordable!  I own 6 of them and love them!

9. Large Pinecones

I constantly get asked where the large pinecones on my mantel and dining table are from.  The truth is my mom has collected them for years and gave some to me last year – aren’t I a lucky gal?!  That said, if you don’t have pinecones to collect in your area, there are several places you can get them, including Amazon! It looks like the ones I linked are almost sold out, so act fast!  You can also check Trader Joe’s, they have them seasonally as well!  You can add glitter or white paint to their tips to glam them up a bit, if you like!

8. Wall Mounted Mug Rack

This is another year round staple for me, but I LOVE it for the holidays because I can display all of my vintage Santa mugs! (It’s also a great gift for anyone in your life who might happen to love Rae Dunn, or collect any kind of coffee mugs)!

7. Galvanized House Stocking Holders

I’ve gotten questions about my stocking holders over on Instagram, and sadly they no longer are carried at Target, where I got them last year.  But I did find some adorable galvanized ones for you, and they are just as cute and come with all the farmhouse charm!

6. Holiday Candles

Holiday candles are my favorite way to make our home smell like the holidays, since we have all faux greenery/trees.  I grew up with a real tree every year, and there is just sometime about that smell that makes it feel that much more like Christmas.  My girl Amanda over at Prairie Girl Candle Co makes soy candles (and wax melts if you prefer those) right here in the US of A, and her winter collection is amazing!

5. Queen B Home Twas the Night Before Christmas Wood Sign

This exact sign is at the center of our decor this year, as it hangs right above our fireplace.  Emily’s signs are top notch, and she is just a sweetheart.  I cannot recommend her signs enough!

4. Galvanized Snowflake Lanterns

I also have a similar version of these, but they are white ceramic.  They are several years old, but I use them every year!  This galvanized version is on sale and also adorable (plus they match the stocking holders above)!  And a tip… pop one of those holiday candles in here, and not only do you get that warm glow of the holidays, but you’ll get the smell, too!

3. King of Christmas King Slim Flock Tree

This is one of those investment purchases, but SO worth it! We just got our Christmas tree from King of Christmas this year (ours is the 9 foot pre lit slim king), and to say we are obsessed is an understatement.  This tree is STUNNING, and there is no hassle with the lights, because the electricity is carried through the center post, so no plugging in tons of cords all over the place.

2. $25 Flocked Christmas Tree

Okay y’all, this one is a MUST.  And next, year, I’ll be getting the $35 6′ version too.  But this cute little flocked PRE LIT tree from Walmart is PERFECT for $25.  Yes, it sheds.  And it’s not even actually 4 feet tall – but, it’s the perfect little tree to add more twinkle to your home.  Perhaps you want a tree in your bedroom but don’t have the space?  Or maybe your little one would like the magic of christmas in their room as well?  BAM – here is your extremely cost effective solution!  And to add some extra height, you can place on a riser, in a crock, or on a stool!

1. Sparkle Deer Head Tree Topper

I got SO many messages about our little tree topper this year!  I got it years ago at Big Lots if you can believe it, but I found a nearly identical one for you on Amazon.  Pretty sure it actually IS identical, the glitter is just slightly different!  This is my favorite tree topper I’ve ever had, and again, it is perfectly farmhouse (or even rustic/cozy/cottage style – I mean how perfect would this be a in a mountain cabin?)

And that is my first week of Top 10’s for ya!  Come back next week for my Top 10 Gifts for Her, and then on December 4 for my Top 10 Gifts for Him!  The best part about the gifts I’ll be sharing is that they are already an amazing steal! So for all you last minute shoppers, these gifts won’t break the bank, and just might be the perfect gift you couldn’t find during the madness that is Black Friday/Cyber Monday.  And guess what – they can all be delivered right to your door without you having to brave the crowds! #winning!  See ya then, friends!

XO,

Ana
