Come Spring and Summer, I am always looking for fun brunch ideas! We love having friends and family over for an outdoor brunch during the warmer months. I always aim to make it feel like a special occasion without having to work TOO hard, if you know what I mean!
I recently had a great excuse to put together a fun brunch set up. I collaborated with Korbel on a social media project and they were looking for some fun brunch ideas with their new Prosecco!

As an avid Prosecco drinker myself, I knew exactly what cocktail I needed to make for the collaboration – a cotton candy mimosa!

Brunch Ideas: Drinks
And of course, I needed a fun brunch set up to go with it! So now I get to share the full set up (and recipe) with you, and you can add it to your own list of brunch ideas for the upcoming season!
To start, I whipped up some sugar water on a plate and dipped the rims of my glasses into it. I added some white sprinkles to the rim. I used the white sprinkles I had on hand for a more elevated look, but colored sprinkles would be so fun too!
Next comes the cotton candy… I always snag my cotton candy at TJMaxx or HomeGoods. They always have them at the front of the store near checkout, and a big tub is only $4 or $5!
I then added the cotton candy to the glasses to prep them for our fun little mimosa bar! I used a combo of both traditional champagne glasses, and fun goblet type glasses I got from the dollar store. Keep reading for the final drink steps!
My parents gifted me a ton of jadeite for Christmas this past year, and it is absolutely perfect for spring and summer meals! I am all about layering when it comes to creating place settings, so the jadeite way layered on top of a traditional white dinner plate and a cream colored charger. I added a napkin and place card on top. The orange flowers were fun, but they didn’t end up lasting. If you have some faux flower options available to stick in your napkin ring, that would look great!
Brunch Ideas: Table
I started with my bohemian macrame table runner. It adds a fun bohemian flare without being too over the top. I then added a cute fruit cop on top of the plates for some added dimension. Because our outdoor table is smaller, instead of a large centerpiece, I places several ranunculus stems into a bunch of clear apothecary bottles from my grandfather.
To really make the space more fun, I hung some fun paper poofs from our market lights and added a few smaller ones on the table! These vintage pink chairs were PERFECT for the occasion! They are just so fun!
Our new front yard courtyard was the perfect place to host this brunch as well. It’s intimate and full of beautiful greenery and flowers.
We had fruit, blueberry muffins, english muffins, donuts, and scrambled eggs (not pictured because… fresh eggs please). The last step was to pour our fun drinks and enjoy! And these cotton candy mimosas are not only tasty, but they are such a party hit!
Just pour your chosen prosecco or champagne, and the cotton candy dissolves immediately! It’s a ton of fun and really uplevels your brunch drink game! We then put out orange juice, cranberry juice, and pomegranate juice for a selection of juice options to add in. I must admit though, orange juice is still my favorite!

And that’s really it! Lots of jadeite, fun pops of color with the decor, cotton candy, and ranunculus, yummy food, and good friends! I think brunch is truly one of my favorite things to host this time of year, and I can’t wait to have another reason to put together brunch for friends soon!
I’m actually thinking a jadeite and July 4th themed brunch might be in order!
What do you think?
Until next time…
XO,
Ana
