fall fireplace decorations

Hey, Hi, Hello!! I’m Excited to reveal all my fall decorations this year! As I write this, I’m drinking a homemade chai tea latte and staring out the window into our backyard after a huge storm. Pouring rain, lightning, thunder, the whole shebang. And I have to say, given we don’t get real seasons here in SoCal, I am SOAKING up every second of this rainy, Fall-y weather (pun intended!)

I’m also excited to be joining some incredibly talented bloggers on a Fall Home Decor Tour! If you are joining me from Kim over @ Cottage In the Mitten, WELCOME!

Fall is truly my favorite time of the year, because without fail it always seems to bring out my favorite things. Autumn foods, cozy sweaters, delicious homemade apple cider and of course… decorating for fall! Give me all the pumpkins!

Simple Fall Decorations for Your Home

So now to our fall decorations, yes? I kept things very simple! And I actually only purchased ONE new item (which is very unusual for me!) I kept things natural and neutral with my large stash of dried hydrangeas. It also helps that out giant hydrangea bush in our front year went OFF this year! I’ve probably dried 20 of them, and still have at least 20+ more on the bush to go!

While I did keep things more simple and neutral and haven’t gone full-blown PUMPKIN FEVER yet, you know I always like to add cozy texture to my decor. Especially when it comes to fall decorations!

The hydrangeas were a great start to that texture, and then I layered other natural elements into the space. Textiles, wood accents, eucalyptus, pampas grass, and more!

Our fireplace areas is my absolute favorite. The layered mirrors and books with the copper tones, hydrangeas, and candles, really give the space the coziest Fall feeling. When the fireplace is on (which it is as I right this), it’s such a magical little spot.

(P.S. Do you remember what this fireplace used to look like? YIKES)

I get loads of questions about this leaf garland – it is several years old and I’m 95% sure I snagged it in the Target Dollar Spot! It’s super cute! I’ve linked a few similar options in this post for you to check out!

I also love our living room space. I was fortunate enough to work with Ruggable on a social media collab and got a gorgeous new rug for Fall. (This blog post is in no way sponsored by them, I just adore the company and their amazing products!) I’m usually not a blue person, but this Cambria Saphhire rug added the perfect warmth to the space for the season.

You might be wondering what the one item I purchased this year was. And it was a beautiful Currier & Ives tray from my dear from Grace of My White Porche Shoppe! It was the perfect final addition to our kitchen shelves for Fall.

I also used the kitchen to display some of my ironstone collection (you can see more in the living room on the sideboard), which usually lives put away in a hutch upstairs most of the year. It’s been nice to bring out my collection and enjoy it more than usual!

Those cutie pumpkins on the kitchen shelves are from my DIY concrete pumpkin project last year – be sure to check that out for a fun project that will take you through Halloween and even Thanksgiving!

I also added them to our simple Fall entryway (which will inevitably get a little less simple as the pumpkins come in! ;))

Outfoor Fall Decorations

And I can’t leave you without a little outdoor Fall inspiration! Another fun collaboration with Ruggable (I sweat, they are my FAVORITE) and their amazing washable doormats! I got to swap set up a Fall porch look AND a Halloween look – figured I’d share now as you prep for any Halloween decorating you’re planning!

This porch space is SO nostalgic to me and it makes me smile every time I see it. My mom made the scarecrow with my jeans and boots from when I was about 5 or 6. And those cute candy corns were made by my grandpa (and my mama painted them). I’ve never seen anything like them and they make my heart so happy!

The pumpkin coir doormat was perfect to transition from Fall to Halloween too! And of course, miss Napa had to make an appearance! BTW, this post isn’t sponsored, but I believe my Ruggable code is still good, so definitely use it if you’re in the market for one! FUNFIDDLELEAF10 will get you 10% off!
